Where it seemed like
I had everything that I needed

The pictures off the shelf

The curtains
hit the floor just right
But couldn’t hide the seasons
Of cold
Coming through that door
Without a particular reason
The light
Was on my side
I turned over to say goodnight
And let our love go with the dark

Looking at an empty frame
Of who we’re supposed to be
